In the early 1990s, Meaco started by specialising in monitoring and control equipment for museums and art galleries. The company's innovative approach and expertise in humidity monitoring and control gained recognition, and Meaco soon became a leading supplier of humidity monitoring and control equipment to museums across Europe.

In the late 1990s, Meaco formed a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Electric, becoming their sole distributor in the UK for their range of portable dehumidifiers. This partnership flourished for two decades, allowing Meaco to expand its product portfolio and diversify its customer base. By the early 2000s, Meaco's focus shifted from the museum sector to the growing demand for domestic dehumidifiers. The company leveraged its expertise and experience to design and manufacture a range of innovative dehumidifiers that solvethe problems of customers around the world.
